Terms of Service

vidgen lets you type a text prompt, optionally upload reference images, and generate short AI videos. Videos are produced by third-party AI model providers — currently ByteDance Seedance, accessed through BytePlus ModelArk / Volcengine Ark. We may change providers or models to keep the service working well.

AI generation is not guaranteed to succeed or to match your expectations exactly. Features, models, pricing and limits may change over time.

You can sign up with an email address and password (email verification is required) or with Google. You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

One person per account. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, for example by creating multiple accounts to exploit free credits, violating the acceptable use rules below, or committing payment fraud.

vidgen runs on credits. 100 credits are worth about US$1. Each video costs credits per second of footage, and the rate depends on the resolution you choose. The exact cost is shown before you generate.

You can buy credits as one-time packs. Payments are processed by PayPal. Credits never expire.

If a generation fails — including when it is blocked by the provider's safety filter — the credits for that generation are automatically returned to your balance.

You must not use vidgen to create or attempt to create: sexual content involving minors; non-consensual deepfakes of real people or content that impersonates someone; graphic violence or gore; hateful or harassing content; content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy; or anything otherwise illegal.

You must not try to bypass, disable or trick our safety systems or those of our providers.

Requests that break these rules may be blocked (with the credits refunded), and repeated or serious violations may lead to suspension or termination of your account.

You are responsible for the prompts you write and the images you upload. You must own them or have permission to use them.

We do not claim ownership of the videos you generate. Subject to these terms and applicable law, you may use your videos for any purpose, including commercial use.

To run the service, you allow us to store and process your prompts, images and videos, and to send them to our AI providers for generation.

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to content generated for other users. You should review videos before using them, especially in public or commercial settings.

The service and all outputs are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

You can stop using vidgen at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or if required by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will try to notify you by email or on the site. Continuing to use vidgen after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
